This blog is based on fun and
challenging experiences while traveling with relatives, friends and
work colleagues who live their lives from the seat of a wheelchair.
From day trips to vacations lasting several days, the travel has been
about taking care of business, hanging out with friends and family,
and discovering new adventures along the way.
Safety, sensitivity and seeing what
could be done better for comfort and convenience has been an
important part of these travels. We share our stories and tips about
what we've learned with the hope that you can enjoy being a
wheelchair travel friend, too.
Share your own stories of similar
journeys or let us know about any concerns you have by contacting
rosadeanschartz (at) gmail (dot) com. Another avenue of communication
is to join with local groups who advocate for mobile accessibility.
You can also gain hands-on experience and share your stories and
personal tips with friends, relatives and the general public.
